For when you’re figuring it out, and it’s all a bit much.
Being a young adult comes with a strange mix of freedom, pressure, and uncertainty. You’re trying to build your own life, but sometimes it feels like you’re supposed to have it all figured out already. Maybe you’re juggling school, work, or relationships—while also trying to deal with stress, anxiety, low motivation, or family stuff that’s harder to shake than you expected.
Therapy can be a place to slow down and actually make sense of what’s going on. You don’t need to have a big, dramatic “reason” to come. You just need to want something to feel different.
Therapy for College Students & Young Adults
What We Can Work On
Managing anxiety and stress (even the low-key, always-on kind)
Figuring out who you are and what *you* want—not what others expect
Setting boundaries with family, friends, or partners
Navigating dating, breakups, and everything in between
Feeling stuck or unmotivated and not knowing why
Body image struggles and self-comparison
Processing family dynamics or past experiences that still affect you, even if you’re not sure how to name them
You don’t need the perfect words to explain what you’re going through. We’ll figure it out together.
What Therapy Is Like With Me
Sessions are laid-back, collaborative, and shaped around you. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to talk about. Others aren’t sure yet—they just know they’re overwhelmed or disconnected, and want to feel better.
There’s no pressure to be “deep” right away or perform emotional insight. We’ll go at your pace, bring in a little humor when it helps, and focus on what actually feels useful. I’ll ask questions, offer perspective, and help you think about what kind of life you’re building—not just what you’re trying to escape.
Some people I work with feel numb or disconnected. They’ll say things like “I don’t know why I don’t care anymore” or “I’m just not motivated and I don’t know how to fix it.” Others feel like they’re running on fumes—constantly anxious, overthinking everything, and trying to meet expectations that never seem to let up.
We’ll talk about where those feelings come from, what kind of pressure you’re under (from family, school, or just the world in general), and how to start feeling more like *you*. That might mean setting boundaries, letting go of certain stories you’ve been told about who you should be, or figuring out what kind of life actually works for you.
You don’t have to fake being okay in here. We’ll figure it out together, one step at a time.
