When talking with ChatGPT doesn’t feel like enough anymore

Therapy offers something deceptively simple: a space to slow down, be honest, and feel genuinely heard by another human (key word: human)- someone who will not only hear what you say, but also notice what you don’t. The experience of being witnessed, without judgment and without agenda, and with honest feedback when you need it, can be enough to move something that's been stuck for a long time.

A cozy living room corner with a light blue upholstered armchair featuring a black cushion, situated on a patterned area rug on a wooden floor. Behind the chair, there's a wooden bookshelf filled with books and a small clock, topped with a potted plant. To the right, large leafy houseplants are visible, with a tall one near the wall and a smaller one on a stand. The walls are decorated with framed artwork and a small wall hanging.
A ceramic mug with a speckled beige and brown design, featuring a quote in blue text that reads, "Dearly Beloved, We Are Gathered Here Today To Get Through This Thing Called Life." The mug has a rounded handle, and a person's fingers are holding it from the right side.

Support for when something feels off

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. You may be getting through your day just fine, showing up at work or school, keeping it together on the surface. But there's often a disconnect between how things look on the outside and how things feel on the inside.

Maybe you're struggling with something you haven't fully been able to name yet, or you have a sense of what it is but haven't had a space to really look at it clearly. Maybe you're feeling stuck, or like you've been moving through life on autopilot. Maybe you have big questions about life that you’re afraid to bring up with your friends or a partner. Or maybe you need some extra support while figuring out how to live intentionally amidst the chaos of modern life.

Some people come to therapy to work through a specific problem. Some come to understand themselves better. Some aren't sure why they came, only that something feels off needs to change. Whatever brings you here, we'll figure it out together.

Meet Hilary

As an introspective and curious person, I’ve always been drawn to life’s big questions, so much so that I switched careers midlife to make supporting others in navigating these questions my life’s work. I’m Hilary Neblett (she/her), a therapist and owner of Resonance Psychotherapy in Austin, Texas. I specialize in values-based therapy for individuals, in which we use what matters most to you as the guide and motivation for change.

My own experience in therapy in my early 20’s left a lasting impression and the insights I gained helped me get clarity on what actually mattered to me and feel more confident in organizing my life around it. Today, I’m passionate about helping others connect more deeply to themselves, explore new perspectives on their lives, experiences and relationships, and make meaningful changes with confidence.

I tend to work with other curious folks, skeptics, and deep thinkers who spend a lot of time in their heads and who also tend to have a dark sense of humor.

I know how hard it is to find a therapist. If you have any doubts or questions before getting started, I’d love to chat.

Questions? Ask me anything.
